Independence needs to be 'Nurtured'

I was told this from a new friend I made, who lives in Hong Kong. I strongly really respect that as she is 100% right. She also said,

"we are not born with this skill"

I really do admire her independence and choice of words, especially when she can travel around the world on such little cash.

These words has made me realize that I have only just begun to try and nurture mine.
